Hand tied extensions have a weft that is typically wide. The hair is knotted by hand along with 2-3 threads to create a weft which creates a very strong but much thinner weft when compared to machine wefted hair extensions. The end result is that the hair extension sits closer to the head and feels more natural. The weft itself (sewn part) is very thin and hides well on clients with thinner hair. Hand tied extensions can be sewed onto beaded tracks or braids. The only drawback to the hand-tied wefts is because of how thin the wefts are, they should not be cut when installing.

How to Choose The Length?
How do you apply it?
Hand tied extensions still use beads. The difference is the beads are used to create rows across your head using your natural hair. Hand tied wefts are then sewn onto the rows. Some people do two rows with two to four wefts on each row.
Hand-tied wefts cannot be cut and must stay bound as a single solid piece. Being unable to cut a weft into smaller sections makes the installation process trickier. Instead of customizing (cutting) filler pieces where needed, you have to carefully plan placement with the row created by your natural hair.
